2019 Theme Hours

The time has come for one of the most well-loved features of the Marathon-- theme hours. With high spirits and endless possibilities, the 2019 themes are sure to make your 20 hours at the Marathon the most memorable ones yet. #BeTheNext: This hour will be spent paying tribute to our childhood dreams! Dress up as the job you wanted when you were a kid or what you want to do when you’re older. Break out the aprons, scrubs, firefighter gear... this theme allows us to reflect back on our childhoods as we fight for our miracle children and their chances to #BeTheNext. Dance Dance Revolution: We’re throwing it back to 1995 with our 90’s themed hour. In honor of 24 years of DM at FSU, wear your fav

Minimums Week

It’s minimums week! From Monday, February 18th to Friday, February 22nd, participants have their last chance to meet the fundraising goal of $300 in order to receive an invite to the Marathon and #BeTheNext Dancer. With just three more days to reach minimums, here are a few ideas on how to get those last few donations to get you to the Marathon: Bake sale: Make your favorite chocolate chip cookies, brownies, or cake and sell them to people in your organization, residence hall, or friends. Closet clean out: Sell clothing items or decor to friends or take them to a second-hand store like Plato’s Closet with the proceeds going to your DonorDrive! Friend dinner night: Cook dinner for friends for

High School Dance Marathons

Most of us learn to love the spirit of Dance Marathon in our college years. But for some, the miracles begin well beforehand. For years, high schools around the local Tallahassee area have executed their very own Dance Marathons, helping DM at FSU reach our goals annually. This year, we look forward to Marathons at Lincoln, Florida High, John Paul II, Leon, Chiles, Maclay and Rickards with even middle school Marathons hosted by Maclay, Florida High, Chiles, Lincoln and John Paul II. Similar to DM at FSU, Marathons are run by their own executive boards of students. These individuals work extremely hard throughout the year in order to put on an event in the spring that contributes to the goals
