Hi friends and family! This year I am participating in Dance Marathon at Florida State University 2021! DM at FSU is a year-long philanthropic effort in which students raise both funds and awareness for Shand’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in Gainesville, and the FSU College of Medicine Pediatric Outreach Programs. Now more than ever, Shands Children’s Miracle Network Hospital needs your help. Kids can’t wait for the curve to flatten or a vaccine to be developed to get the essential care and treatments they need today. Each of us continues to hope for a vaccine and effective treatments to combat the spread of COVID-19, and we believe recent medical advances through research are certainly bringing that day closer. Times like these exemplify the importance of what Dance Marathon at Florida State University does, and what we stand for - as we continue to uphold the mission of our organization - Against All Odds. If there is anything we, as an organization have learned this year, it is that above all else, our beneficiaries are the reason we do what we do, year after year. Dear (INSERT NAME HERE),

This year I’m participating in Dance Marathon at Florida State University 2021 as a (Dancer, Fundraiser, Captain, etc.). DM at FSU is a year-long philanthropic effort in which students raise both funds and awareness for pediatric illness and injury - our two beneficiaries are Shands Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in Gainesville, and the FSU College of Medicine Pediatric Outreach Programs. We understand how challenging these times have been and will continue to be for you, ourselves included. Above all else, we prioritize the health and safety of our student leaders, fundraisers, participants, and Miracle Children - and we will continue to do everything in our power for that to remain so, throughout the year. Each of us continues to hope for a vaccine and effective treatments to combat the spread of COVID-19, and we believe recent medical advances through research are certainly bringing that day closer. Times like these exemplify the importance of what DM at FSU does, and what we stand for.

Now more than ever, Shands Children’s Miracle Network Hospital needs your help. Providing both essential and lifesaving treatment and care does not stop due to the effects of COVID-19. In fact, COVID-19 has placed additional stress on our Children’s Hospital’s ability to provide and ability to care during this challenging time. Shands Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in Gainesville is a preeminent research institution that has made strides in research, treatment, and procedures - through changing and saving the lives of our Miracle Children and their families. The FSU College of Medicine Pediatric Outreach Program is dedicated to providing access to specialized pediatric and medical care to the children of Tallahassee and Gadsden County.

This year has already brought much uncertainty and has stunted unprecedented change, but as an organization, we are committed to continuing our fight against pediatric illness and injury, and understand the value of what we are doing - believing we truly are one generation fighting for the next. Over the past 25 years, we have overcome many obstacles, and we believe our Miracle Children and their Families embody the resilience, strength, and courage each of us must demonstrate as we navigate through this challenging time, together. If there is anything we have learned this year, it is that above all else, our beneficiaries are the reason we do what we do, year after year.

As we strive to support and encourage the essential work of our beneficiaries, we are asking for your help. Kids can’t wait for the curve to flatten or a vaccine to be developed to get the essential care and treatments they need today. With your support,  we are encouraged to persevere through this challenging time of uncertainty, hopeful that we will all make it through stronger, together.

Dear (INSERT NAME HERE),

Thank you so much for your continued support of Dance Marathon at Florida State University. Thanks to your generosity, DM at FSU 2020 was able to raise $1.9 Million for Shands Children’s Hospital in Gainesville and the FSU College of Medicine’s Pediatric Outreach Programs. These funds were used to help support pediatric research, programs and equipment at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, and help fund programs in Gadsden County that provide healthcare to low-income children and families in the Tallahassee area.

This year I’m continuing my involvement with DM at FSU 2021 as a (Dancer, Fundraiser, Captain, etc.). We understand how challenging these times have been and will continue to be for you, ourselves included. Above all else, we prioritize the health and safety of our student leaders, fundraisers, participants, and Miracle Children - and we will continue to do everything in our power for that to remain so, throughout the year.
