When does fundraising begin?

Fundraising with Dance Marathon at FSU is a year-long effort! You can create your fundraising page starting in the summer, and register to dance at our Marathon during our two week dancer registration windows in the fall and spring. Fundraising is made easy with our online platform. Anyone is welcome to create an account and actively fundraise. If you don't have a team, you can join Team Miracle! How can I fundraise?

Creating a Facebook fundraiser and linking it to your fundraising page is one of the most effective ways to fundraise with Dance Marathon at FSU. Other ways to fundraise include reaching out to friends, relatives, local businesses, and members of the Tallahassee community via text, email and hand-written letters. Do I have to be a part of another organization to participate?

No! Anyone is welcome to participate with Dance Marathon at FSU. When registering to dance or fundraise, you are able to join:

  • With an organization (such as a sorority, fraternity, or club)
  • As an individual
  • As a team captain for your own organization
If you aren't a part of another organization but still want to dance at our Marathon you can join Team Miracle! All organizations on Florida State University’s campus are encouraged to participate. Interested in starting a team? Email our Membership Chair at dmfsu.membership@gmail.com.



How do I register to dance?

In order to be invited to dance at our Marathon, a dancer must raise at least $250 For The Kids! This involves creating a fundraising account, as well as registering to dance. Click here to create your fundraising page!



What is a Miracle Network Dance Marathon?

A Miracle Network Dance Marathon is a student led, year-round philanthropic movement, uniting students across the United States and Canada in raising critical funds for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. When you join this empowering movement, you're equipped to change kids' health and change the future. Dance Marathon at FSU is proud to be recognized as a Miracle Network Dance Marathon. We are one of the five-founding Dance Marathon’s in the nation fundraising for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. There are over 300 Miracle Network Dance Marathon programs across America! Do you really stand on your feet throughout the whole shift?

Yes! As a dancer, you pledge to remain standing for hours of your shift in honor of children who cannot. The marathon is full of excitement and extremely rewarding! You are welcome to dance, participate in activities, watch local bands, play morale games, and more - as long as you remain on your feet!
