Rally Week 2019
Each year, Rally Week serves to promote our cause and get everyone excited about the upcoming Marathon. This week, Dance Marathon at FSU is back with a Rally Week that’s better than ever, with something for everyone!
Kicking of the week on January 22nd, DM at FSU is hosting an FSU versus Clemson Watch Party at Yianni’s located at The Strip at 7:00pm. Check in times start at 6:30pm and everyone is encouraged to sport their DM check-in shirt or their favorite Florida State gear. This event will be complete with snacks and commercial entertainment for an entry fee of $5.
Join us all day on Wednesday, January 23rd on Landis Green for Landis Before Time to celebrate Caden Buth, who has been honored as a Hospital Champion. There will be Valentine’s Day letter writing for children at Shands, t-shirt check-ins, merchandise sold, and entertainment throughout the day. The Letter Writing Campaign will take place from 9:00 AM to 3PM where participants will have an opportunity to write letters to potential donors and spread the news about our cause. To continue in honoring Caden, we are challenging participants to raise $62 in honor of the 62 kids that enter a CMN hospital for treatment every minute. Those who raise $62 will receive an exclusive Caden’s Cause fundraising pin. Additionally, the highest fundraising organization this day will receive sit time for their entire organization at the Marathon in both shifts!
Hungry after a day of fun? Head over to our Share-It Night at Miracle Plaza located at 1815 Thomasville Road from 5:30PM-8:30PM to enjoy meals at BurgerFi and 4Rivers. There will be a sign in table at the restaurants for your respective teams-- don’t forget to turn in your receipt to receive points!
On Thursday, we’re testing your knowledge with Are You Smarter Than A Miracle Maker? Join us at Tin Lizzy’s at 7:00pm for a friendly game of Madison Social style trivia, with topics ranging from Vine, Dance Marathon, FSU, movies, TV shows, and more! Each organization can have one team with up to 10 people. Check in times will start promptly at 6:30pm and food from Tin Lizzy’s will be available for purchase. First, second, and third place will be getting prizes, so make sure to sign up and have your list of participants submitted by 11:59pm on January 22nd to dmfsu.externalevents@gmail.com. We can’t wait to see the teams participate in some friendly competition!
Wrapping up Rally Week on Friday, DM at FSU celebrates our dedicated dancers with Donuts and Dogs Dancer Appreciation Day from 9:00AM-2:00PM on Landis Green with free donuts and therapy dogs to enjoy!The therapy dogs will join us from 11:00AM-12:00PM. Members can show a DM representative their fundraising page in order to receive this complimentary breakfast. We are also offering $5 off of Dancer Registration only to those who register at the event, you won’t want to miss it!
The success we have had so far would not be possible without the immense amount of dedication to this organization. With the Marathon approaching, we intend to use this week to sprint to the finish line and make more miracles happen, For the Kids.
